Waterproof Covergirl Lashblast Volume Mascara!

So last night I ran to Walmart for one last pre-vacation visit, and while I was there, I realized that I needed new waterproof mascara. Okay, so first off, Walmart is having an AMAZING sale on Covergirl right now. I got a special package that contains both their waterproof mascara AND a really great waterproof eyeliner for only $4! You really should check out that deal, because I've never seen anything like that for so cheap. Anyways, I used both the mascara and the eyeliner for the first time this morning, and I absolutely LOVE them! The eyeliner is very very black and glides on easily, plus the eyeliner comes with a smudger on the other end so you can smoke out the eyeliner. Then I used the mascara, and it's freaking amazing. As you can see, it really does look like I'm wearing false lashes, so this mascara is a win in my book! It also holds onto my lashes all day, but it's not impossible to get off at night. (It just takes a little extra time, that's all) Anyways, just wanted to write one quick blog post before leaving on vacation (especially since I haven't updated in forever, sorry!) to let you guys know about this deal before it ends!

Talk to you soon!

Neutral Eyes w/Bright Pink Lips

This kind of looks has become on of my summer favorites for work or lazy days. It's a simple neutral eye with a bit of a winged out liner and some bright pink lips. Here's a product list to explain with step by step explanations!

~Face:
-Neutrogena moisturizer
-Rimmel Foundation Primer
-Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer
-Revlon PhotoReady Foundation
-Rimmel Stay Matte face powder
-E.L.F. Blush & Bronzer Compact

~Eyes:
-E.L.F. eye primer
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" on inner corners, lid, & browbone
-MAC pigment in "Vanilla" on the lid
-L'Oreal H.I.P. duo in "Sassy" (I used the brown from this duo) in the crease
-Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in black as liner (I winged this out a bit on the ends)
-The same L'Oreal H.I.P. brown color along the lower lashline.
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" on the waterline
-Covergirl Lashblast Luxe mascara

~Lips:
-E.L.F. Lip Primer
-Max Factor lipstick in "Pin Up Pink"
-L'Oreal H.I.P. Jelly Balm in "Succulent"

And that's it! It's very simple, and only takes about 5 minutes. See you soon!

Easy Summer Hairstyle

So yesterday I wanted a hairstyle that was a curly/braided combination since summer is so close. This hairstyle is so simple! I first sprayed my hair with Tresemme heat protectant, then I curled my hair with a flat iron. (I have a few YT tutorials doing this, if you're curious how I curl my hair with a flat iron). Then I took two small sections from the front of my hair (one from each side of my side part) and I did a regular braid on each of them. Then I teased the hair at the crown, pulled the braids back, twisted them together, and pinned them in the middle of my head. I used two bobby pins to secure it to the back, then I sprayed all over with my Herbal Essence Body Envy Volumizing Hairspray (LOVE that stuff!). And that's all I did! It took about 15 minutes, but that's only because of the curling. If you wanted to do this on straight or scrunched hair, it would take less than 5 minutes. Hope you like this hairstyle and try it out! :) See you soon!

FOTD 5-19-10 (Panacea81 Nautical Inspired)

Lauren Luke is absolutely brilliant! She was the first guru I ever watched on YouTube,
and the one that I learned all my tips and tricks from. :) If it weren't for her, I wouldn't know the difference between a lid color and a crease color, or a flat shader brush and a blending brush! She really taught me all the basics, and she's always
been one of my favorite YouTubers. Yesterday I was watching a few of her videos, and I found a tutorial she had posted
called "Nought to Nautical sexy make up look for summer"and it's become one of my all time favorite looks. It's really really easy to do, but looks amazing and like it took you much more time than just five or so minutes. I really think that this look would be universally flattering on all women, no matter your skin color or eye color. Lauren Luke totally
created magic with this
look, and I definitely had to try it out! I filmed a tutorial this morning re-creating it, BUT I rambled too much and couldn't cut out enough, so it's sitting in iMovie right now edited down to 12 minutes. :( Gosh I hate that those of us without partnerships only get 10 minutes! Anyways, I'm sure I'll re-film it sometime soon because I plan on doing this amazing look A LOT! =)

Products list:

~Face~
-Neutrogena moisturizer
-Rimmel Foundation Primer
-Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer
-Revlon PhotoReady Foundation
-Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder
-E.L.F. Blush & Bronzer

~Eyes~
-E.L.F. primer
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" on inner corner, lid, and browbone.
-MAC Pigment in "Vanilla" on the lid.
-For the crease, I mixed two colors together--ULTA eyeshadow in "Bayou" and Maybelline eyehsadow in "Silver Lining" to get a shimmery gray/blue color.
-Right on the outer corner and crease I put the Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in "MIngles"
-Glamour Dol Eyes shadow in "MIngles" used wet as a liner on both the top and bottom lashline.
-Love My Eyes eyeliner pencil in "Diva" on the waterline. (an electric blue)
-Covergirl Lashblast Luxe mascara

~Lips~
(NOTE: In the actual tutorial (and in the re-creation I'll film), Lauren finishes the look with red lipstick. When I took these pictures yesterday, I was about to head off to work so I couldn't do the red lips. Here's what I used instead!)
~L'Oreal H.I.P. Jelly Balm in "Plush"

FOTD 5-15-10 (xxpandafacexx)

Hooray so today is another FOTD! :) Last night I was watching xxpandafacexx on YouTube, and she just put up the most STUNNING look! So right now, I want you to stop what you're doing and go sub to her! (www.youtube.com/user/xxpandafacexx) Then come back and read more haha ^_^ This look is called "a hello kitty inspired look" and it's the perfect summer makeup tutorial! It's super simple (took me under 5 minutes!), and is very bright, but not in an obnoxious way. Like I said, it's the perfect amount of color placed in exactly the right spot. Also if you want to make the pink in the crease lighter, you don't have to build up the color as much. Here's a list of what I used!
~Face~
I'm actually not wearing any makeup on my face except a little Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer, I didn't have time for anything else!

~Eyes~
-E.L.F. eye primer
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" all over the lid and up to the browbone. Then I blended that out with my finger.
-A random NYX whitish/pinkish shadow on the lid.
-A NYX light pink eyeshadow in the crease. (I don't know the name of it, but it's from that trio that looks like cotton candy, if you know what I mean.)
-A hot pink eyeshadow from the L'Oreal H.I.P. duo in "Brazen" blended on top of the light pink.
-A NYX hot pink/reddish eyeshadow from the same trio as before, blended right in the outer corner.
-The same L'Oreal H.I.P. hot pink taken along the lower lashline.
-Almay black liquid liner
-Black pencil liner on the waterline
-Covergirl Lashblast Luxe mascara

~Lips~
-NYX lipstick in "Harmonica"
-L'Oreal H.I.P. Jelly Balm in "Plush"

All finished! :) I will be wearing this look often, I love it! That's all for now, see you soon!

FOTD 5-14-10 (Boy Crazy)

So here's another FOTD post! This is the makeup I did this morning and am wearing now. I needed something extremely quick, but I still wanted it to be colorful. I only used ONE eyeshadow for this look! It's the Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in "Boy Crazy", and I absolutely love how it came out! I'm not wearing anything on the bottom lashline except for mascara, but if you have a little more time you could put a white/blue/black or whatever color liner you wanted on the waterline to jazz it up a bit. I'll put a product list below like always, but I will probably do a YouTube tutorial for this look because I got a request for very quick but still colorful makeup. Hope you try it out! :)

~Face~
-Neutrogena moisturizer
-Rimmel Foundation Primer
-Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer
-Revlon PhotoReady Foundation
-Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder
-E.L.F. blush and bronzer

~Eyes~
-E.L.F. primer
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Pacific"
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" on browbone and tearduct as highlight
-Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in "Boy Crazy" on lid
-Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in "Boy Crazy" (applied with a damp brush for a darker, more vibrant color) in the crease.
-Almay black liquid liner
-Covergirl Lashblast Luxe mascara

~Lips~
-Chapstick. Literally, haha. I barely had time to take a picture before I ran out the door. But next time I do this look with a little more time on my hands, I will do this combination:
-NYX Lipstick in "Harmonica" (a MUST HAVE! I love this lipstick!)
-L'Oreal H.I.P. Jelly Balm in "Plush" (a really light pink)

So that's it for today's makeup! :) See you soon!

Love is a pair of killer heels...

(Btw, sorry the pic on the right is a little blurry, but you get the idea.) Okay, I don't often buy shoes because I can't really afford to, but when I saw these shoes on the front page of last week's Target ad, I absolutely fell in love with them. I've been looking for heels like this since they became really popular on the red carpet, and I've always loved the way they look. On sale, they're $15, and not on sale they're $25. So even if you don't catch them on sale, they're still a darn cheap pair of amazing heels! The heel is quite high (4 inches) but this never bothers me. I love super high heels because I'm only 5'3", so they make me feel tall haha ;) Anyways, I just wanted to make a quick post about this because you NEED to go to Target and check out these shoes! Oh yeah, and I should probably tell you who they're by. LOL The shoes are by Mossimo. :D Happy shopping!

FOTD 5-12-10 (Lovers Lane)

Hi guys! As promised, here is the first of the many FOTD pics I will be uploading during the lifetime of this blog. The reason it's dated for 5-12 is because I actually wore this makeup on Wednesday, but I just didn't have time to blog about it until now, sorry.

Anyways, this looks was made using 100% Glamour Doll Eyes (www.glamourdolleyes.com) and I followed a laurenisokay video that can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yk6lMXn2VYk The only thing I did differently was I used Stellar in the crease and on the lower lashline instead of Victorian. (I don't own that one) So here are a few pics, and I will also include a product list below:

~Face~
-Neotrogena moisturizer
-Rimmel Foundation Primer
-Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer
-Revlon PhotoReady Foundation
-Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder
-E.L.F. blush & bronzer

~Eyes~
-E.L.F. primer
-Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in "Lovers Lane" (on the lid)
-Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in "Stellar" (in crease and on lower lashline)
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" (to highlight browbone and inner corner)
-Almay black liquid liner
-Covergirl Lashblast Luxe mascara

~Lips~
(Note: I wasn't actually wearing any lip products in this pic because I wasn't about to go anywhere, but I'll tell you what I would pair with it anyway.)
-E.L.F. lip primer
-Revlon lipstick in "Sparkling Cider"
-Maybelline lipgloss in "Nude Flash"

Hope you guys try out Lauren's look! See you soon! :)

New Glamour Doll Eyeshadows!

Have you ever been to www.glamourdolleyes.com? If not, you need to! I had never tried out mineral eyeshadows before Glamour Doll Eyes, and it was a fabulous first impression! I am now totally addicted to this company, the quality of products and the friendliness of the customer service is amazing. Previously from GDE I have gotten My Belle, Electric Lemonade, MIngles, Fabulous!, Cloud Coverage, and Premonition. I have a review on these shadows on my YouTube channel, as well as a variety of looks created using them, so head on over there if you're interested! :)
This time, I got the shadows Trophy Wife, Lovers Lane, Taylor, Boy Crazy, Stellar, and Shamrock. I really do love these shadows, they are extremely pigmented and very easy to blend. I thought you all might like to see some pictures, so here they are! If you'd like to hear a full-length review of these shadows, I will be uploading it to my YouTube channel.

That's all for now, but be sure to come back for more links to tutorials, FOTD (face of the day) pictures & hauls, and for my random shenanigans! Talk to you later!
